This painting was a response to seeing the 3 sisters in Canmore Alberta, being totally moved and enamored with the name. I then brainstormed how the mountain range in the back ground could serve as a narrative for the 3 bears that live in this great Canadian landscape and live in symbiosis with nature and all that it offers. Finally I used resin to coat the bottom of the original under the water line to make it look glossy and wet for the salmon.
