"Sun setting on the Chukars: Chukars Bed down" 2026 is originally acrylic on canvas.
This painting was a commissioned piece that reflected one of the places my client found solace and peace. The arid and dry Kamloops / Ashcroft BC landscape is a bridge between desert and forest with its wild grown sage brush and lodge pole pines sparsely dotted the hills about the river basins. Amid these dry and rocky outcroppings of wild back country live the Chukar Birds. Once upon a time imported there and have since lived happily ever after, sharing the hills with the big horned sheep and not a man in sight. A truly pleasant place to bed down as the warmth of the sun fades over the hills.
