A project that started from the creation of a local coloring page design, i decided after creating the coloring page that i wanted to take it a step further and do a finished painting, using experimental drip painting techniques for the background as well as liquid gold paint to highlight the shapes and bring out the mandala design. Mandalas seem like the perfect shape that express a meditative quality much like the sand mandala painters of Tibet. The circle shapes representing the continuity of life.
